Latest Developments

Today I booked our family Christmas vacation: we're going skiing! We're driving the kids 1,000 miles to Angel Fire Resort in New Mexico during Christmas break. All four of us will take ski lessons (Jeff and the kids have never skiied before and I haven't skiied in many years). It will also mark the first time Brandon and Lindsay have ever seen snow. I'm so excited!

Rash update: Lindsay's rash seems to have gone away. The nightly oatmeal baths and slathering her with Aveeno oatmeal lotion has seemed to help. Or maybe it was just the passage of time. Either way she looks so much better and isn't itching anymore.

Friends in high places: My friend, who is a pharmacist, is running all the flu shot clinics for our area for a certain drug store that shall remain nameless. She had some left over flu shots from her clinic yesterday, so last night she came over and gave me, Jeff, Grandma and Grandpa our flu shots in my kitchen. It's nice to have friends with flu shots and the ability to administer them!

Last night reminded me of one time when the kids' pediatrician prescribed some sort of nasty tasting medicine for Lindsay and said that I might want to have it flavored. I told him that my friend who is a pharmacist would definitely hook Lindsay up. He said, "Pharmacists are good friends to have." and I replied, "Not as good as pediatricians." which got a chuckle out of him.
