The kids went to the pediatrician for their checkups yesterday. I thought it was interesting that the nurse calculated their BMI (Body Mass Index), but I guess with childhood obesity these days it's a good measurement to have. Brandon needs a chicken pox booster and a Hepatitis A vaccine. Of course, they were out of both the shots he needs, so he has a temporary reprieve. Here are the stats:

Brandon: age 7
Height: 50 1/2 inches (4 feet, 2 1/2 inches) = 90th percentile
Weight: 54 pounds = 50-75th percentile
BMI: 14.9 = 25-50th percentile

Lindsay: age 4 (will turn 5 in Sept., so this is her 5 year checkup)
Height: 44 3/4 inches (3 feet, 8 3/4 inches) = 90-95th percentile
Weight: 43 pounds = 75th percentile
BMI: 15.1 = 50th percentile
