We got the call on Thursday night that Brandon was drafted to the 7AAA Astros!
For those of you not familiar with little league (and minor league baseball, I think), you earn your A's as you go up in leagues. So, last spring Brandon was on the 7/8AA Devil Rays. This year he was drafted into a more experienced league - 7AAA. It's like the difference between varsity and JV. We are so excited for him!
It's still machine pitch again this year and he seems to have a wonderful coach with tons of experience. He had his first practice on Saturday.
In past seasons when he has been a Devil Ray, Fighting Irish or an Angel, we've had a hard time finding practice t-shirts for Brandon and the family to wear to games. We won't have a hard time finding Astros gear! Opening Day is March 1st and I will post his game schedule when it's released. Brandon loves a big cheering section!
