Today at golf camp, Brandon's team won third place and a bronze medal. He was so disappointed because at the prior golf camp his team won first place and a gold medal. He came over to us after accepting his medal and had a very sad face.
Then when the individual awards were announced, Brandon won Best Male Swing! We were thrilled! I had tears in my eyes as he went up on stage to accept his award. Only 4 individual awards are given out (Most Improved, Sportsmanship Award, Best Male Swing, Best Female Swing) and Brandon won!
On the driving range during camp that day, Brandon hit a super big shot (I'll have to check with Grandpa for the distance) and all the coaches came over to high-five and applaud him. We made sure Brandon knew that all his hard work is paying off and that hopefully there will be more awards in his future. Like maybe a green sportcoat someday?
